– 100 grams fresh garlic cloves

– ½ liter of alcohol

Place the garlic and alcohol in a container and leave for 4 days. The results will be much better if you stir the mixture 2 times a day. After 4 days, add baby oil and you have your insect repellent.

 

You can place it in a bottle and apply it when needed. You just need a couple of drops on each area with mosquito bites. The most practical way is to spray this mixture on the ankles, the back of the neck, knees, wrists, etc. Apply where you consider necessary.

 

This repellent also works against fleas, therefore, you can help your dog to keep away these pesky insects.

 

Be careful when using this repellent as it has strong ingredients; you should avoid contact with eyes and never consume it. Always keep it away from children and stays with them when applying. In any case, it is healthier than bought repellents.

 

IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE BABY OIL OR ALCOHOL TEST THIS RECIPE:

 

– Choose one of these essential oils: clove, lemongrass, citronella, tea tree, rosemary, cedar, catnip, lavender, peppermint, eucalyptus.

– Boiled or distilled water.

– Natural Witch Hazel.

 

  1. Fill sprayer ½ bottle with boiled or distilled water.
  2. Add the witch hazel to almost completely fill the bottle.
  3. Add 30 to 50 drops of essential oil chosen to achieve the desired aroma. The more oil, the stronger is spray.

 

These insects are not only annoying creatures, but also transmit diseases. The more bites you have, the longer you will be exposed to diseases like malaria, West Nile virus and now Zika. Such insect repellent will be very useful for your health and you have a wonderful summer evening without bugs!
