What if the pain wakes you up at night?
One of the bigger problems with back pain is waking up in the middle of the night, which makes you not getting the rest you need and contributes to chronic fatigue. Sometimes sleeping on your hip with a pillow between your knees can make you more comfortable, or sleeping on your back with a pillow underneath your knees.
Hot and cold treatments, massages and creams.
These treatments are often found to be very helpful and comforting, even though there is no scientific proof that they are contributing at any way. But there is no harm in doing it, because most people find them helpful so you should give it a shot even just for the placebo effect.
In cases when the pain is too much to handle, there are certain types of medication like nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs you can use but with extreme caution. These medications should be taken in moderation because of the possible harmful effects they can have on your stomach.
How to prevent back pain?
Being fairly active in sports activities is recommended because you are using your muscles so they can get stronger and improves your lifestyle in general.
